Gina Lake was a wonderful guest for our monthly online Satsang. She was authentic, clear and generous with her sharing.
In 1999, Gina Lake awakened to her true nature. After awakening, she discovered her purpose, which is writing and teaching in order to help people be in the present moment and live happy and fulfilled lives. Gina teaches that both are possible by shedding light on the ego and other programming or conditioning that interferes with that.
Gina has written many books including From Stress to Stillness, Trusting Life, Radical Happiness, Embracing the Now, Choosing Love, Ten Teachings for One World, Getting Free, Living in the Now, Return to Essence, Anatomy of Desire, A Heroic Life, and The Jesus Trilogy (Choice and Will, Love and Surrender, and Beliefs, Emotions, and the Creation of Reality).
Listen to the delightful conversation with Adyashanti’s wife, Mukti. Mukti has been a student of her husband, Adyashanti, since he began teaching in 1996. Together they founded Open Gate Sangha. Previously, Mukti studied the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda for over 20 years.
In her teachings, Mukti points audiences back to their natural state of wholeness or undivided consciousness. In this audio, we get to experience those teachings directly and discover for ourselves how simple, clear and profound her teachings are.
On Sunday, February 15, 2015, I interviewed Nirmala for Awakening Together’s monthly online Satsang. Nirmala offers free e-books, audios, videos and articles on his website, Endless-Satsang. His friend and mentor, Adyashanti, describes Nirmala this way:
“What is appealing about Nirmala is his humility and lack of pretense, which welcomes whatever arises within the field of experience. In the midst of this welcoming is always an invitation to inquire deeply within, to the core of who and what you are. Again and again, Nirmala points the questions back to the questioner and beyond to the very source of existence itself-to the faceless awareness that holds both the question and the questioner in a timeless embrace.”

In August 2003, Jan Frazier experienced a radical transformation of consciousness. You could say that instant clarity arose, because she was suddenly looking at life from another point of reference. Instead of looking from the perspective of the psyche known as the personal self, Jan’s identity shifted to the spaciousness that is universal awareness. With this shift, a whole new way of seeing and relating arose.
We spoke with Jan in the Awakening Together Sanctuary. Several members asked questions, and Jan shared clear and simple answers.
This Sunday’s Satsang guest was Bentinho Massaro, a young enlightened master who shines with joy, love and a strong sense of freedom. Bentinho told us how, at an early age, he grew tired of living non-authentically and began to seek for his authentic Self. He shared his experience of recognizing awareness (enlightenment), and then going beyond awareness to realize the unmanifest Absolute.
Does human experience end when the Absolute is realized? Listen to this Satsang to discover Bentinho’s answer to this question as well as his answers about time/no time, the purpose of desire, the message in emotions and much more.

What a joy Kirtana was as our guest this month for Awakening Together Satsang!
Kirtana is a singer/songwriter who has been writing songs and playing guitar ever since she was eleven. As a teenager, she was drawn to reading the books of spiritual masters such as Yogananda, Ram Dass, Alan Watts and more. She was initiated into Transcendental Meditation at the age of 17 and by twenty-two was teaching meditation in Maine. In 1997, Kirtana met her beloved teacher, Gangaji. The songs from many of her cds reflect the love and Self-recognition sparked by that life-altering encounter.
In this audio, Kirtana shares the highlights of her spiritual path, talks about the grace she experienced through her teacher, Gangaji, and gives us a glimpse of her own wisdom and clarity.
Self-Inquiry is a private matter, Tess had realizations that she never talked about with anyone. Tess engaged in a focused observation practice that brought profound awakening in her. Listen as Tess shares her simple yet profound experience of awakening that rises above all our assumptions, presumptions, and expectations. Tess has truly found the peace that passeth understanding.
Timothy Conway experienced spiritual awakening when he was 16 years old, an awakening that was a sudden shift from seeing like a sixteen year old teenager who loved sports to seeing only the absolute as the absolute. He jokes that his parents thought he had started taking drugs. But what were they to think? Their son had changed dramatically in a flash. Suddenly the boy obsessed with sports was drunk with love, … in love with everything, everyone, all of the time.
After awakening, Timothy immersed himself in the study of spiritual teachings that point toward truth, which gives him the ability to speak of his experience using the language and symbols of many different teachings. He also spent time studying directly with Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, who he refers to as his mentor.
Timothy’s clarity is expressed lovingly. He encourages a healthy relationship with spirituality, one that recognizes the absolute as truth yet interacts gently and compassiontately with the relative self and world.
Bob Fergeson of the TAT Foundation spoke on his process of spiritual growth from “hiding” in a guru-led enviornment, to being removed from there not by his choice, which he describes as a traumatic yet awakening experience. He said that was the first of two emotional, deep awakening experiences when after he realized the one-ness of all things. Bob shared from his wealth of realizations and process of how to allow the ego to be un-done, and let go of. Simple, practical, and amazingly clear teaching.
