This morning, the Holy Spirit guided me effortlessly from one written source to another in order to deliver two key messages to me. Here is the first of those messages:
The opposite of illusions is not disillusionment but truth. Only to the ego, to which the truth is meaningless, do they appear to be the only alternatives, and different from each other. (A Course in Miracles, Chapter 22.II)
Do not fear that you are alone as you release your thoughts of illusion. Do not fear that you will be left with nothing. The Light of God is all that you are, and illusion is what you are not. In releasing illusion, you release only what is untrue. Nothing is lost to nothingness. In releasing illusion, you give yourself the realization of all that is true and [all that is] you. (The Holy Spirit’s Interpretation of Acts, Chapter 20 – www.forholyspirit.org)
One illusion, cherished and defended against truth makes all truth meaningless, and all illusions real. Such is the power of belief. It cannot compromise. (A Course in Miracles, Chapter 22.II)
God’s plan for salvation works simply because, by following His direction, you seek for salvation where it is. But if you are to succeed, as God promises you will, you must be willing to seek there only. Otherwise your purpose is divided and you will attempt to follow two plans for salvation that are diametrically opposed in all ways. The result can only bring confusion, misery and a deep sense of failure and despair. (A Course in Miracles, Workbook for Students, Lesson 71)
This is a crucial period in this course, for here the separation of you and the ego must be made complete. For if you have the means to let the Holy Spirit’s purpose be accomplished, they can be used. And through their use will you gain faith in them. (A Course in Miracles, Chapter 22.II)
This is how the merging occurs. It is through you own willingness to surrender to Me. As you see more evidence that you have surrendered to Peace, you will willingly give more self-will to Me. (The Holy Spirit’s Interpretation of Acts, Chapter 22 – www.forholyspirit.org)
Now must you choose between yourself and an illusion of yourself. Not both, but one. There is no point in trying to avoid this one decision. It must be made. (A Course in Miracles, Chapter 22.II)
Here is the second of two messages given to me today:
Forsake not now your brother. For you who are the same will not decide alone nor differently. Either you give each other life or death.
This course will be believed entirely or not at all. For it is wholly true or wholly false, and cannot be but partially believed.
Behold the great projection, but look at it with the decision that it must be healed, and not with fear. (A Course in Miracles, Chapter 22.II)
When a brother comes to you and a “conflict†ensues, you must be willing to look in your mind. Do not look at form. It is playing out the agreement. The healing will occur in the mind.
Watch the conflict as it seems to play out. Do not expect it to change. Do not expect that your willingness to heal will result in the disappearance of conflict [in form]. But look at the conflict and accept it for what it is. It is a reflection of the purpose in the mind. Then decide right then, as you look right at it, that you choose a reversal of purpose. Instead of separation, you choose Truth. Hold that thought in your mind. Then as the conflict seems to continue, let it go right then as unreal. Everything you see, every thought you think, every desired reaction. Notice them, remember all that I’ve said, and let them wash away as unreal. (The reality of relationships, www.regindawnakers.com. 3/17/06)
Are you not glad to learn it is not true? Is it not welcome news to hear not one of the illusions you made replaced the truth?
It is impossible to look upon your savior as your enemy and recognize him. Yet it is possible to recognize him for what he is. (A Course in Miracles, Chapter 22.II)
Special relationships are those relationships that you have invited into your life through mutual attraction. They may seem to be highly conflicted mixed with love and happiness or they may seem to be purely highly conflicted. Either way, they are not what they seem to be. Either way, they are relationships of spiritual mutual attraction, which makes them especially useful to you.
When “two souls†come together through spiritual mutual attraction, it is because they recognize that they are one. Within the dream and from the ego’s point of view, they come together to help each other forget this fact.
All relationships are holy in the eyes of the Holy Spirit, because all relationships have the purpose of healing. All relationships become holy to you when you decide to share the Holy Spirit’s purpose.
The only question is which purpose are you listening to? . (The reality of relationships, www.regindawnakers.com, 3/17/06)
Receive of him what God has given him for you, not what you tried to give yourself. (A Course in Miracles, Chapter 22.II)
